DEAD TREES HINZE DAM -Private Commission

This stunning dark original artwork was a commission for a very good client.

She loves all things dark, so this piece suited her style perfectly.

Dedicated to the dead gum trees at Hinze Dam, Advancetown.

So the story goes that a long time ago, conservationist planted a heap of baby gum trees to be a "centerpiece" for the dam.  

The gum trees continue to grow and flourish until many years later that the dam overfilled to such an extend and for so long, that all the gum trees died but remained in their upright state.

They are still there today and although its not the most pleasant story, the sight is quite something, especially at dusk and even more so, at the start of a vicious typical "Springbrook" Storm, where the sky is dark almost black.   

There's an eerie vibe during that storm but somehow the trees remain to tell the story.

This was my abstract depiction of that scenery, during a stormy event.

My client loved this one so much, she immediately commissioned another and you can see that one also in the SOLD section "Tree Study Hinze Dam".

I can be commissioned to do this same style again, but although they may be similar, they will never actually be exactly like these pair.
